How to Play base58.bet
Blockchain roulette on Solana. 58 possible outcomes. Every result settled by the Solana network — not by us.
01
What is base58.bet?
base58.bet is a provably fair roulette game built on the Solana blockchain. Instead of a traditional wheel with 37 or 38 numbered pockets, it uses the base58 alphabet — the 58-character encoding used by Solana itself — as the outcome space.
Every spin is settled by a real Solana block. There is no random number generator, no server seed, and no way for base58.bet to influence the result. The outcome is determined entirely by Solana's validator network, and anyone can verify it on-chain.

How Results Are Determined
The base58 alphabet is the 58-character set that Solana uses to encode wallet addresses and block hashes. It is the standard Bitcoin/Solana alphabet with easily confused characters removed:
BASE58 ALPHABET — 58 CHARACTERS
123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz
Digits 1–9 (no 0)Uppercase A–Z (no I, O, L)Lowercase a–z (no l)
The settlement process
The game server listens to the Solana slot stream in real time. Every 100 slots (approximately 40 seconds), a settlement occurs:
- The server detects that 100 slots have passed since the last round.
- It fetches the confirmed block hash for that settlement slot directly from the Solana RPC.
- The last character of the block hash is taken as the winning character.
- All bets are evaluated against that character, and winnings are credited instantly.
Example: If the settlement block hash ends in …mK7xQr, the winning character is r. That is a lowercase character, so Lowercase and High group bets also win.
How to verify: After each round, the site shows the full block hash with a link to Solscan. Open it, find the block hash, and check the last character yourself. The result is there permanently on the blockchain.
03
Why It's Provably Fair
"Provably fair" means you do not have to trust us. The randomness comes from a source that base58.bet has zero ability to predict or manipulate.
Block hashes are produced by Solana validators
Hundreds of independent validators collectively produce each block hash through Solana's proof-of-history and proof-of-stake consensus. No single party — including base58.bet — controls or can predict the outcome.
Cryptographically uniform distribution
Block hashes are cryptographic digests. Every character position in the hash is uniformly distributed across the base58 alphabet. Each of the 58 characters has an equal probability of appearing as the last character.
Bets lock 4 blocks before settlement
The betting window closes 4 blocks before the settlement block. By then the settlement block hash cannot be known by anyone, including us. There is no mechanism by which late knowledge of the result could influence bet acceptance.
Results are permanently on-chain
Every settlement block hash is recorded on Solana and indexed by Solscan. You can verify any historical result independently, at any time, with no involvement from base58.bet.
The hash strip at the top of the game page shows the live block hash updating in real time. The last character is highlighted — that is the character that will settle the round once the betting window closes.

Bet Types & Payouts
There are six bet types. You can place multiple bets of different types in a single round. All bets use your chip value, which you set on the right panel.
| Bet type | What wins | Probability | Payout |
|---|
| Straight | Any single character1 of 58 | 1.72% | 54:1 |
| Digits | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 99 of 58 | 15.52% | 5:1 |
| Uppercase | A–Z (excl. I, O, L)24 of 58 | 41.38% | 1.3:1 |
| Lowercase | a–z (excl. l)25 of 58 | 43.10% | 1.2:1 |
| Low | First 29 chars (1–Q)29 of 58 | 50.00% | 0.9:1 |
| High | Last 29 chars (R–z)29 of 58 | 50.00% | 0.9:1 |
Straight bet
Pick any single character from the board. If that exact character is the last character of the settlement block hash, you win 54× your stakeplus your original stake back (55× total). The highest-risk, highest-reward option.
Group bets: Digits, Uppercase, Lowercase
Bet on an entire character group. Digits (1–9) pays 5:1. Uppercase letters pays 1.3:1. Lowercase letters pays 1.2:1. These are clicked via the coloured group buttons above the character grid.
Half bets: Low and High
The 58 characters are split into two equal halves of 29. Low covers the first half (1 through Q) and High covers the second (R through z). Both pay 0.9:1. These are the closest to an even-money bet and suit conservative play.
Stacking bets: You can hold multiple bets in a single round. For example, place a straight bet on m, a Lowercase group bet, and a High half bet simultaneously. If m wins, all three pay out.

Understanding the House Edge
Every casino game has a house edge — the small percentage that ensures the platform stays solvent over time. base58.bet is no different, and we believe in being transparent about it.
The edge comes from the difference between the mathematically fair payout and the actual payout offered:
| Bet type | Fair payout | Actual payout | House edge |
|---|
| Straight | 57:1 | 54:1 | 5.17% |
| Digits | 5.44:1 | 5:1 | 4.93% |
| Uppercase | 1.42:1 | 1.3:1 | 5.17% |
| Lowercase | 1.32:1 | 1.2:1 | 5.17% |
| Low | 1:1 | 0.9:1 | 5.00% |
| High | 1:1 | 0.9:1 | 5.00% |
For comparison: European roulette (single zero) has a house edge of approximately 2.7%. American roulette (double zero) runs about 5.26%. base58.bet sits in that same range — roughly 5% depending on the bet type.
Over a large number of rounds, the house edge means the platform retains approximately 5 cents for every 1 SOL wagered across all players. This funds operations, development, and infrastructure. Short-term variance is high — individual sessions can swing significantly in either direction.

How to Play — Step by Step
1
Get a Phantom wallet
Download
Phantom for Chrome, Firefox, iOS, or Android. Create a new wallet and — critically — store your seed phrase somewhere safe and offline. Anyone who has your seed phrase controls your wallet.
2
Add SOL to your wallet
Buy SOL on a centralised exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, etc.) and withdraw it to your Phantom wallet address. Make sure you select the Solana network when withdrawing — not Ethereum or any other chain.
3
Connect your wallet
Click the Connect button in the top-right corner of base58.bet. Phantom will pop up and ask you to approve the connection. No transaction is signed at this step — it is read-only.
4
Deposit SOL to your balance
Click Deposit in the right panel to see the house wallet address. Send SOL to that address on the Solana network. Minimum deposit is 0.1 SOL. Your balance appears within 30 seconds.
5
Select a chip value
Choose your chip size from the coloured chips: 0.001, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, or 0.1 SOL. Each click on a character or group button places one chip of that value.
6
Place your bets
Click any character tile for a straight bet, or click the Digits / Uppercase / Lowercase / Low / High buttons for group bets. Your bet slip on the right shows everything you have placed. You can place bets on multiple outcomes in a single round.
7
Wait for settlement
The countdown shows how many Solana blocks remain until the round settles. Bets lock 4 blocks before settlement. Once locked, the board is greyed out — no new bets can be placed for the current round.
8
Results and winnings
The winning character appears on the wheel and the hash strip. Winnings are credited to your balance automatically. The bet slip updates to show your session net result.
9
Use the quick-bet controls
Repeat replaces your bets with the same layout from the previous round. x2 doubles all current stakes. Save stores your current layout to local storage. Load restores it. Use Save/Load to keep favourite patterns without rebuilding them each round.
07
Getting a Wallet
Phantom is the most widely used Solana wallet and the one we recommend for base58.bet.
Setting up Phantom
- Install Phantom from phantom.app.
- Click Create a new wallet.
- Write down your 12-word seed phrase on paper and store it somewhere secure. Do not take a screenshot or store it digitally.
- Set a password for the browser extension (this protects local access — your seed phrase is the master key).
- Your wallet address is shown at the top of Phantom. Copy it when you need to receive SOL.
Never share your seed phrase. base58.bet will never ask for it. No legitimate service will. Anyone who asks for your seed phrase is attempting to steal your wallet.
08
Deposits & Withdrawals
Depositing SOL
- Connect your wallet and click Deposit in the right panel.
- The house wallet address is displayed. Copy it.
- Send SOL to that address from Phantom or any Solana wallet. Solana network only — do not send from other chains.
- Your balance updates within 30 seconds once the transaction is confirmed.

Withdrawing SOL
- Click Withdraw in the right panel.
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw (minimum 0.1 SOL).
- Approve the wallet signature request in Phantom — this verifies that you own the connected wallet.
- SOL arrives in your wallet within a few seconds once processed.

Tips
Start with the smallest chip
0.001 SOL per bet. Get comfortable with the pace of the game, how locking works, and how group bets stack before increasing your stakes.
Save your favourite layouts
If you have a preferred combination of bets, build it once and hit Save. Load it at the start of each session rather than rebuilding from scratch.
Check the Hot & Cold panel
The right panel shows recent settlement history. While past results have no bearing on future outcomes (each round is independent), the history panel helps you spot patterns and track your session.
Verify results on Solscan
After each round, the site shows the settlement block hash and a Solscan link. Click it, check the last character of the block hash. It will always match the result shown on site.
Set a session budget before you start
Decide the maximum you are comfortable losing before you open the game, not during. The house edge is real. Short sessions can be profitable; the edge only becomes reliably visible over thousands of rounds.
